Camp Leaders

Is God calling you to lead?

Imogen

Are you interested in leading on some of our camps held throughout the year?

It is only through the help of our amazing team of volunteer leaders that we are able to create such an amazing experience on our Christian youth camps.

We are currently seeking leaders for all camps in 2018. Feel free to apply to be a leader for as many as you like.

Application Process

We have a short process to apply to be a leader:

David1. Firstly, get an understanding of what we expect from our leaders. You can have a look at the leader expectations here.

2. Look at the key tasks applicable to the Leader Role . Please ensure you understand your role and the commitment involved.

3. Review the camp dates. It is expected that you are available for all of the required dates. Camp dates are list at the top of the leader application form. Please make sure you are available before applying to lead on a specific camp.

4. Fill out the Leader Application Form.

Once you have completed the application form we may contact you to collect more information or to arrange an interview with you.

If we do not get back to you within one week with confirmation that we have received your application, please contact us via email or phone.

You may also begin the other things outlined below. This does not guarantee you a spot as a leader on camp.

1. Print and fill out all the forms under SMC (Safe Ministry Check). Then scan and email them to Jonathan Kemp directly or post to Jonathan Kemp, MEC, PO Box 1261, Milton Qld 4064. If  you have already completed a Safe Ministry Check with an ACSQ Parish or Commission within the last three years you will not be required to complete this again. Please indicate this on your application form.

2. Apply for a blue card. You need a “Volunteer” card – there’s no charge. Please note if you already have a blue card then you will not need to get an additional card. If you do not have a blue card please note the application process can take a number of weeks to complete. Please allow enough time to ensure you can receive your blue card before you attend camp.

3. Attend/register for relevant training sessions to help prepare yourself for the camp ahead. More information about which sessions you need to attend and session dates/times can be found here. You will also be required to complete Child Protection Training during this time. Once you have done this training, you will be provided with our AYCF Camper Protection Policy and Procedures Guide which you will complete. Kate and Dom
