A ‘sacrament’ is defined commonly as a “visible, outward form of an inward, spiritual grace”. This means a sacrament is a special action which Christians do today because Jesus did it. Anglican tradition recognises the major sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion (also know as the Eucharist or sometimes the ‘Lord’s Supper’) but also the Roman Catholic sacraments which includes matrimony, ordination, reconciliation, etc.
